The Constitution of India is the longest Constitution in the world. Constitution day is celebrated on 26th November every year. The country’s founding fathers were wise enough to borrow good features from various sources i.e from different countries. It had 395 articles, 22 parts and 8 schedules at the time of its commencement. Now the Constitution of India has 448 articles in 25 parts and 12 schedules. Also, more than 100 amendments are already done in the Indian Constitution.

a) Part VII (dealing with Part – B states) was deleted by the 7th Amendment Act 1956.

d) Part IX-B was added by the 97th Amendment Act 2011.
